I plan on upgrading the horn setup in my 1987 Mercury Cougar to a Cadillac style trumpet. Only thing is I can't decide on the early ones with an actual trumpet or the later 4 clamshell styles used until 1997.
So many variations.....
The 4 notes are A,C,D, and F
The thing is that the C can be either high or low and in the 1964 Eldorado convertible it was a B flat instead. The trumpet for that one was over 2 feet long and had to be mounted in front of the radiator.
Some other versions were your basic high/low horn with a smaller trumpet for a total of 3 notes from what I'm reading/researching.....

Why not use the horn off a ship?

Too big. I actually want to mount these in a way that would appear as if the car rolled off the assembly line with them. Glorious though. Makes me wanna buy a house on the beach, erect a lighthouse and blow this thing when the neighbors piss me off!

My car only has plastic electric horns, but they appear to be multi-note, and they are very loud. I'm happy.

Yes. These are the later ones. A,C,D,F. I believe the C in these is a high note.

For me, it's not. I don't want airlines or tanks. I want something that appears as if it could have rolled off the assembly line.
